Our Ministries for Youth are focused on those in grades 6-12. The Mission of Student Ministry is to connect students to God, to each other, and to the community through prayer, bible study, fellowship, and practically living it.
The Vision of the Student Ministry is to see students meet, be baptized into, come into relationship with, and make more disciples of Christ. Our hope is that they would live empowered lives for Christ where they are personally being continuously transformed and influencing the lives of others.
All Remnant Youth Activities take place in the Youth Room of the Church. The fellowship area of the room is very relevant to students and includes video games on a PS3 and XBOX 360, a pool table, a ping-pong table, and a comfortable lounging area with bar-height tables and several couches. The front of the room includes a prayer/missions room where students can enter any time to make their requests known to God. There is also a stage where our youth band leads worship and the gospel message is preached and taught every Sunday and Wednesday.
Remnant Youth, 7th to 12th grades, meets every Sunday Morning at 10:30 in the Youth Room. During this time students will encounter God through worship, an inspiring message from Student Pastor, James Riggs and a final challenge to go into the world and be Doers of the Word. There is time for fellowship both before and after the service begins and all students are made to feel welcome, whether they are new comers or have grown up in the ministry.
6th graders have their own time of worship and study at 10:30 in Switch 56, which is for our 5th and 6th graders.
During the summer, both our high school and middle school students meet on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 8:00pm. This is a great time for all of our students (6th to 12th grade) to experience fun games, fellowship, worship and God's word through Bible study and discussion as a body of believers.
In addition to our Sunday and Wednesday services, the Youth are invited to participate in special events. Below is the list of events for the remainder of 2011 into 2012. For more information on our Youth Ministries, contact our Youth Minister, James Riggs, jriggs@newdaychristian.net
