Dear Friend,
If you’ve clicked on this page I imagine it’s because you’re considering a visit to New Day. I can’t help but wonder: What might God be doing in your life that you’re considering coming to church? I wonder if you have small children, if you’re married or single, if you’re hurting or happy, if you’re here in Florida on vacation, a new snowbird, or looking for a fresh start. How do I convince you that you’ll love New Day, that you’ll feel welcome here, that our folks aren’t too weird – that the preacher’s not too weird?
Maybe the best thing to do is to just tell you what I love about our church.
I love that our church is diverse. It’s hard to look around and find one demographic of people at our church. There are rich, poor, young, old, black, white, Hispanic, new Christians, senior saints, those with children and those without, married and single. No matter what your background, I think you’ll feel at home.
I love that our church is relevant. There’s something special about worship at New Day. It’s somewhat predictable: You’ll sing some relevant songs, take the Lord’s Supper, hear relevant preaching, and it will be over in about 65 minutes. But we work hard to do it all with excellence and make every service is a time for you to meet God. I love it when people walk out after a service and say, “Wow, that was really moving.” We think that’s the Holy Spirit moving in our hearts, inspiring us to worship and serve Him.
I love that our church is family-friendly. We love kids. Your kids will love our Kid City and Remnant Youth programs. You’ll discover that kids at New Day learn something about God and the Bible every week. I have 4 four kids in those programs myself, so I care a lot about what goes on with our youth and I’m proud of what they’re learning.
I love that our church is biblical. Our people have a hunger for God’s Word, and we stand on His truth. We have a lot of people who are new to Christ and don’t know much about the Bible, so we’re all learning together, but we eagerly study the Bible every week and try to put it into practice
And I love that our church is full of grace. I can’t quite put my finger on why this is true, but there’s an abundance of grace at New Day. Maybe it’s because we’re in Florida and so many of us came here to start over. Maybe it’s our less formal style that matches our South Florida surroundings. I know it’s partly because so many of our “older” members at New Day are grace-filled people who are helping the rest of us learn that Jesus Christ is full of grace and truth, and we should be full of both.
So if you’re looking for a church that is diverse, relevant, family-friendly, biblical, and full of grace, you should come. We would be honored to have you, and I hope I get to meet you!
In Jesus,
Rusty Russell
